Stability Comes Before Freedom

I’m talking psychology; I don’t know if this is true in politics or culture but it might have some usefulness. Let’s define freedom as the lack of constraints; as the chance to be yourself and do reasonable amounts of work and play without hindrance from self or others; freedom offers no guarantee but it affords the opportunity.

Most of us want to feel free and able to grow; certainly the people I work with try very hard to liberate themselves from past emotions and experiences.  But, I’ve learned over the years, that before we feel free, we have to achieve some measure of stability, at least internally.  Preferably, we would feel stable internally and externally but we aren’t always that lucky.  We don’t always get to feel strong and healthy and have our worlds reflect that.  Sometimes, life becomes chaotic or distressing, but we can still hold on to an inner stability.

Stability allows us to feel secure enough to push at the edges of comfort; to take smart risks, and to recover from failures.  Stability is the sense that you buy viagra tablet are strong enough, safe enough, and grounded enough to feel sure that you are an effective person.  You can make an impact in the world.  You can make mistakes and they won’t crush you.

Then……………………………Go Get ‘Em !!!!
