On Wednesday, I gave you some background on Prof. Roy Baumeister’s new book “Willpower: Rediscovering the Greatest Human Strength” and his theory of self-control or will power.

Today, I want to provide some tips on improving self –control, based on experimental data.

1. When you feel (or suspect) that you are depleted in the area of self-control, have some food with glucose.  Lemonade cheap levitra prescription works great.  Glucose online pokies is fuel for the brain.

2. Practice self-control.  It is like a muscle, use it and it gets stronger.   Any form of self control will do, just be deliberate.

3.  Override a habit, any habit.  Do something differently.

You can see from these tips that there is a physiological (glucose) boost that you can use but there are other ways that exercise the practice of self control or will power and that increases your general capacity.
