1. The average American eats 420 calories a day from added sugars.

2. From 1970 until today, sugar intake has increased 12%.

3. Natural sweeteners, such as honey or agave are not the answer because our bodies react the same to these additives – still empty calories that provide no nutrition.

4. Over 35% of the added sugar in our diets comes from soda, sweetened drinks and sports drinks. This one is shocking!
