Reverse Midas Touch

by | Dec 7, 2012 | Relationships | 0 comments

Remember King Midas? He was the king of Phrygia who performed a kindness and was rewarded by Bacchus. He was granted a wish and chose, “Everything

I touch will turn to gold.” (These days, there are plenty of people who would wish exactly the same t

hing).

King Midas quickly realized his foolishness when, at his next meal, the food he lifted to his mouth turned to precious metal.

I often think that some people have been granted the reverse wish – the Reverse Midas Touch. They seem compelled to turn gold into garbage! They ruin everything good and everybody good. Whether it stems from self hatred, a destructive bent, or chronic foolishness, these are people to avoid.
