Men and Women, Cars, Directions

I probably don’t even need to tell you about the study – you can guess from the title.

After chinatown 001men and women had parked their cars in a mall parking lot, the researchers asked them to find their cars and watched the different ways they went about it.  Here we go….

1. Women relied on visible landmarks to find their cars.

2. Women took more detours to get to their cars from the mall exit.

3. Men were better at estimating the distance to their cars.

4. Men found more direct routes to get them from the mall exit to their cars.

Sorry, I hate

to be the one to report that some of our stereotypes are true.
