Emotions and Weight Loss

An article in this month’s APA Monitor stresses the role that emotions play in weight loss. Here are the strategies that were found to be essential to  losing weight and keeping it off:Chips and beer

  1. Understand and manage the behaviors and emotions related to weight management.
  2. Deal with ‘emotional eating’ – it is a barrier to weight loss.
  3. Exercise regularly
  4. Make proper food choices

Gaining self control over behaviors and emotions seem to be the key.
