9/11 Memorial Visit

by | Sep 11, 2014 | Life Ain't For Sissies | 0 comments

Last year, I visited the memorial at ground zero and was struck by the new construction design. The tower is beautiful and overlooks a park with 2 large water memorials on the site of each of the twin towers. The water memorial conveyed such a sense of desolation, tragedy, and unremitting loss that I can’t remember ever seeing another memorial that struck me quite that way. Other memorials seem to have some small sense of hope or going forward. I suspect that when the trees are grown, and life has returned to the site, it will be a bit less austere. Here are some of my photos from that visit.
